KADECO opts for sustainable wood

FSC-certified wood

The eco-friendly, socially responsible and economically sensible use of forests - this objective is firmly established in the international FSC® certification system. As a responsible family company, we are supporting this principle of sustainability by using FSC®-certified wood from Central Africa in the production of our Nola wooden Venetian blind range.

“Forests For All, forever” is the strapline of the non-profit, transparent organisation, the Forest Stewardship Council®, abbreviated to FSC®, whose vision is to manage forests and plantations across the world for a healthy future. Our wooden Venetian blinds in the Nola series bear the FSC® logo and therefore stand for responsible handling of forest resources.

Specifically, this means: in order not to endanger the flora and fauna within the fragile ecosystem, there is no large scale felling of trees - instead, roughly just one tree per hectare is selected every 30 years and subsequent regrowth of the raw material is promoted. In this way, the biological diversity and original reservoir of nature are maintained. But sensitivity towards biological diversity, respectful interaction with indigenous peoples and their rights to the forest as well as social components regarding workers and surrounding villages are also among the important aspects of the FSC®.

We, and every stage of our supply chain, are certified by FSC® and guarantee that this wood is not mixed with other wood.
