Sustainable fabrics for the environment
Sustainability
At the heart of our privacy and sun protection solutions is the utmost importance we attach to design, functionality and quality when selecting the fabrics and meshes. This is why we have a wide selection of colours and patterns in our collections but also plenty of environmentally friendly materials. After all, we don't just love the visual array of designs but also our environment!
GREENGUARD Gold
The GREENGUARD gold certificate confirms that the textiles we use are subject to the most rigorous and comprehensive controls during production in order to guarantee the reduction in emissions of airborne pollutants. Designs which bear this certificate are suitable for safe use in sensitive surroundings such as schools and healthcare facilities.
You will find GREENGUARD certification on fabrics from the following sections of our collections:
- awnings with screen fabrics
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
Textiles marked with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label satisfy the strictest requirements: they are produced using environmentally friendly processes from materials that have been tested for harmful substances and under safe and socially responsible working conditions. This means we guarantee that the respective fabrics in our collections are low in harmful substances and chemicals that are harmful to health.

LevelGreen – fabric made from recycled PET bottles
Our resources are valuable and should be used responsibly. With this in mind, we happily strike out in new and unusual directions – like our LevelGreen fabrics made from recycled packaging.
Before the recycled material finds a place in your rooms as a privacy shield and sun protection, it has already experienced quite a lot: originally produced as single-use packaging or bottles, it was shredded after use and melted down to form a thread. Due to this process, the energy consumed in the fabric production process is reduced by almost a half and hardly any water is required. In turn, the thread is used to make your roller blind, panel tracks or vertical blinds. Incidentally, six bottles can be converted into one whole square metre of fabric.
You can find the recycled LevelGreen designs in the following collections:
- roller blinds
- panel tracks
- vertical blinds
Cradle to Cradle certification
The non-profit organisation “Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute” has certified some of our fabrics for our roller blinds, panel tracks and vertical blinds. All of the materials were analysed for their toxicological properties and recyclability and were optimised to that end.
More than 75% of the contents of bronze certified fabrics meet the special C2C chemical analysis. Other conditions for certification include proof of our energy footprint, the quantity and quality of water required and compliance with social criteria.
